i jsut came from Arizona where they have tarantulas, is that what that is?--mza.

it is a wolf spider, hopefully harmless to humans. finding big spiders is exciting. those little ones you find around the house can be brushed off but large ones can look you in the eye. did you see tarantulas when in the az?

yeah. that is what i was thinking when we first tried to catch her and she scuttled under the stairs. but she poked out again later and we trapped her and relocated her to the backyard shed where we never go. this is the second one we have found in our basement, which is not comforting.

yes, i had one of those crawl out from underneath my quilt one spring... yep, we were sharing a bed. flash forward a week and another one was crawling ON MY NECK. aren't they so adorable? in a fuzzy, big-ass, scary spider way? i never realized i was "scared" of spiders til two got up close and personal with me.
