Despite all odds my brother Dan turned 29 today.
Dan managed to flip one of these (with inflated tires) at a high enough rate of speed to require 20+ stitches while carrying explosives. He drove his Big Wheel over the rockery. He scared off a cougar while we were huckleberry picking by being a very very loud small child. He was one of those kids that had to be making noise constantly. My parents called it his "work song". Poor cougar was probably sleeping in a tree minding its own business...
While hiking with a friend of mine (he is always stealing my friends too) the two of them happened upon a bear. Now if you run across a bear while hiking you're supposed to look big, and be noisy. If the bear doesn't leave and attacks you, then you play dead. Apparently my friend (who totally knew about proper bear procedure) panicked and ran back down the trail towards Dan (who was a little ways back) and while passing him said only "Big Bear" at which point Dan decided that if proper bear procedure had not been followed it was probably good to outrun your hiking buddy.
