Thirteen to Fifteen were the absolutely worst years of my life. There have been days or months since then that blew chunks, but those years were the worst YEARS. If someone offered me something that would only benefit me (money, fame, what have you) they could never manage to even get me to consider reliving these years. I don't know a single interesting person that hasn't had a tough time growing up being a thinker in a world of sheep.

It was the largest preschool for the neighborhood and all of the schools (other than the private school) were in that same neighborhood. I grew up during mandatory busing but it always seemed like everyone in my neighborhood went to local schools and kids from other parts of the city were bussed in no one I knew was ever bussed out (which is part of why mandatory busing was declared illegal). These were the kids who were close enough for me to walk to their houses or ride my bike to visit. So you knew where people lived and their families even if you weren't good friends.
