Amazon SELLS wikileaks material Amazon's the mall not the stallholder in this scenario, but it's still farcical. I'm tempted to buy it for my kindle, to see if Amazon will try to retract it later.

Amazon.com and .co.uk are still up. If anyone on earth knows how to do reliable server farms, Amazon does.

One anon has been arrested. Spotty adolescent: check.

As I mentioned, the LOIC source code is neither large not very complex, despite the ... unique visual style. It will be interesting to see what they do with pull requests from newbs.

The arrested anon was hosting irc.anonops.net which fed target data to Hivemind. Hence the need to drop to Manual. A new source for attack vector data has been implemented and Hivemind is now operative again.

Their client code is crufty - I'd hate to implement anything in there without some refactoring for Separation of Concerns, but hopefully it will improve. It's hard to tell which is the canonical branch though. I guess that comes with the whole anon swarm thing.

I assume that the new vector means a new IRC server, not a change to the client?

you surely don't think I'd know what the vector is beyond that it exists?

Anonymous has decided that publicly available information as to Anonymous's infrastructural resources led to the arrst and loss of Hivemind and it is therefore determined to avoid repeating that error.

http://files.hl2forums.com/uploads/1e55b2e_JS_LOIC_v0_1.htm contains a web-based implementation of LOIC coded in Javascript.

That's what I call iterative software.
