- Trip nearly ended before it began. After driving 10 hrs. yesterday, we stopped at a Day's Inn at the border of Missouri & Oklahoma. It was only $65, so I thought nothing of it. Fear not on the reservation hold. There won't be an issue unless they try to actually make the charge. When you check-in it's nothing for them to change cards.

Yeah the card banks HATE folks who pay off "early" - it hurts the profit margin.

Chase and Citi have been canceling cards by the hundreds of thousands. I had a Chase card a few years back and they didn't cancel it on me. I had paid it off and not used it for a year. The first time I did use it again the rate was jacked to 30% from the 12% it had been for years.
