I have a siege in my first book, I thik alot of research will be needed to try and get an idea of the sorts of things that would be going on. The problem with large battle scenes is that as much as you want to put accross the scope of what is happening, you can only really give an account from one or two peoples views. Sounds like you have it under control tho.

That chapter is finally finished, and I have the whole start of the book plotted. slow going because of constrictions on time, my chapters may need trimming a bit tho... they are a little volumous.
