Here is Laura aka Tempest(meddevi) performing to two of the songs we in The Nathaniel Johnstone Band have made. Paul Mercer from The Ghosts Project and The Changelings plays some violin on the 1st song. I love watching all my dancer friends performing to our music. I feel honored that they like it enough to want to work with the songs. All of you ( Read more... )

We danced to several songs on the disc last Sunday at class and all of them were well received. :)

And new songs? Like new Civita tunes? *gets all perky*

Yeah, I have a some stuff to record on guitar to send to Robbie for Civita. Then I have some bass music that I'm still writing for Tommy and Frank that I'm trying to finish up. Busy! So how have you been? I miss you!

Yay for new Civita stuff! And bass for Tommy and Frank? Care to spill the beans on that? :)

I've been missing you all as well and we really need to do something about that.

I've been very busy producing and performing burlesque with my belly dancing classes up the remaining time. Since the 1st of the year, I've been in 7 shows, 3 of which I've produced. If it weren't for me hurting my back earlier this week, I'd be performing tonight. Sadly, I'm having to sit this show out in the audience.

Of course, I'm always looking for new music to perform to. So far I have used the following: Jill Tracy's Doomsday Serenade, Unwoman's the City, Squirrel Nut Zipper's Blue Angel, Rob Zombie's Living Dead Girl, Blackbird Orchestra's Deception and Desire, and Abney Park's Victorian Vigilante.

I wonder if there's a Civita song I could build a burlesque routine around. ;)

It's been a lot of busy fun.

Thanks for posting this! The next week I performed it again in NJ, and I like this performance better (and the sound is better) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc8txyG5DwI

But I can't wait to show you what I did with the final version of Odalisque and Zola at Tribal Revolution - it rocks, if I do say so myself ;)
