[Background]
Her biography. [Personality]
Lily is a damn feisty red-head. While she tends to be up-beat and friendly, there is a secret (or not-so-secret as the case may be) fire burning inside of her. When her buttons are pushed or her morals questioned, said "secret" side comes to the surface. Then and only then, the sweet, optimistic girl turns into a witty, sarcastic vixen. Once she is in her defensive mood, there are very few who can bring forth her softer side once again.
Yet her friendly and feisty qualities are only one part of her personality. Inwardly, Lily is a lot less sure of herself. She doesn't see herself as pretty or even attractive. Because of her insecurity, she can't see how James (or anyone else for that matter) could want her. (Thus why she probably never noticed Severus's crush on her. Because it was a lot more subtle than James's shameless declarations, she had no idea he felt that way for her.)
(Additional Note on Lily's Insecurity: It is my opinion that said insecurity (or, rather, obliviousness to her own positive traits) comes from her relationship with her sister, Petunia. Because she has been beaten down by her Muggle sibling for years, Lily has never thought much of herself. Yes, she can do magic, but she thinks that magic is the only thing she has to offer. (In many ways, her parents have been life savers when it comes to how confident Lily is in herself. But they can't ease the hurt Lily feels when she catches her sister's disapproving glare.))
In a nut-shell, Lily is a sweetheart with the heart and drive of a true lioness. While she may not know her full worth yet, she isn't afraid to face the future - whatever it may entail. All she knows for sure is that she will always fight for what is good and right.
[Specialties/Abilities]
She's a Witch with an nearly complete education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her fortes are Charms and Potions, however.
[Affection]
Hugs are always welcome. Kisses are cool as long as it's on her cheek/forehead/back of her hand - unless you're James. Anything beyond that will likely make her blush and babble incoherently.
[Fighting]
Lily is a skilled duelist. She knows the proper spells and how to use them on someone who is giving her a hard time. However, she will never initiate a fight without a pressing need. (And, by pressing need, I mean a situation where one of her friends is kidnapped/hurt or threatened.)
She can be hurt, but it won't be easy unless you're a super-power. I'd like to talk about those kinds of things OOCly first. The same applies to her being killed.
[Other Permissions]
I don't mind telepathic characters reading her mind - just don't over-do it. That can get annoying fast.
As for fourth-walling...eh. I'm sure she will find out her future without strangers babbling it to her. Use discretion and don't troll her to death.
[Other Facts]
I'll just put this here:
[Lily's View on the World & Her Morals]
I feel like I should explain just how Lily views herself as a member of the Muggle and Wizard worlds. She will never forget her roots. Being a Muggleborn means a lot to her. While she will always feel guilty that she was blessed with her abilities and Petunia was not, she does not let that get her down.
Up until her Fifth Year, Lily put her all into learning about the Wizard world. She felt it would be rude not to pick up on the nuances of her new home. However, after her infamous fight with Severus, Lily lost some of her drive to reach out to others. Instead, she threw herself into her studies and spent most of her Sixth Year in the library.
However, around Christmas of her Seventh Year, Lily lost her parents. Distraught and feeling like she didn't have anyone to hang onto, she found herself being drawn closer and closer to James Potter. He was surprisingly supportive and kind. Additionally, it seemed like he had turned over a new leaf for her. Taking all of that into account, it's not hard to see why she loves him.
Lily hasn't changed. She doesn't find James's pranks funny or even mildly amusing - thus why James behaves himself when he is around her (supposedly). She believes in treating each human being politely - though, as I said before, Lily does have a fiery temper. If someone hurts her or her friends/family, she will stand up for herself/others. She also believes that Dark Magic - no matter what one uses it for - is wrong. (But she would give a bit of leeway to someone using it for self-defense. She just wouldn't be happy that they utilized such Magic.)
