Well, probably a little more than a drabble, since I've been known to write drabbles six hundred words in length. So this would probably be a vignette.

Near But Far AwayAwareness slowly came back to Pippin, awareness filled with a crushing weight upon his chest that was more than memory. He had been crushed by a Troll during the battle, and now

Nice work! I particularly liked the imagry conjured by the "wasted forms of two dead hobbits" and "their bodies were so withered..." That was excellent!

Thank you! I'm just glad that Frodo and Sam were not really dead.

Don't worry - Pippin will be okay. When he wakes up from his fainting spell, someone will tellhim that Frodo and Sam are all right, and then Pippin will feel much better!
