After our dear, beloved Bruce passed away, it just was not the same without two dogs, so I started looking around and researching the rescue pages. After much looking, I finally found an eighteen month old German Shepherd at a rescue site in South Florida who needed a home - Marlowe

So sorry to hear you lost Bruce--I didn't know. Bet Bennington is delighted with his new baby brother! Where did you get his name?

Thanks for the condolences regarding Bruce. He was such a good, serene boy. We miss him greatly.

The people who rescued Marlowe gave him his name. We saw no reason to change it since he already responded to it. We gave him the rest of his name though - Marlowe Bedlam Von Schlussenheimer (doggy family last name).

Yay! Pets do have that effect on us, yes? Although as I type the hound is sitting here mooing and climbing into my lap...not terribly endearing!

Clearly we need to go outside :)
