- Cold + Wet! / Never - never forget to bring rain gear + some warm clothes!!!
- Glad I brought at least on turtle neck had to buy umbrella, but worth it!
- But weather is awful - cold rain! can't believe I was sweltering last year at the same time.
- Went to polish restaurant (55 Exhibition Rd - just east of IC) w/ Huson's, W. Ko, B. Cox (NAL) - had "pirogi?" little meat filled doughballs + borscht (soup) - good - (~ 1.30 pounds) - cheap too!
- Wine +cheese at IC after meeting - usual mob scene (800 physicists + fam?)
- Denise Chew looking very good now that she's had the kid - very short skirt, flashy french blonde
- Should I get a raincoat or just sweater? damn decisions! already have 2 raincoats already - problem is I'll probably blow a mint on an aquascutum or some such - is the name worth it?
Tribune says Paris + Geneva weather are both cloudy but warmer than London - guess I'll just have to watch paper to see if it's likely to stay this way all month - gah!!
- B Cox's wife knows russian (?) - "genteel" southern accent / Huson had his mother here - all the way from Wyoming
-Fretter by himself / new grandson (Gretchen's) so Grace at home / going to theater every evening
- Walk from hotel to IC getting to my feet - hope they toughen up for Paris - ooh!
- Meeting dominated by american results from NAL - all cross sections going up - Longo vs Kycia (Longo probably in wrong)
- IC TV monitor screens neat bit of conference technology / daily newsletter of tomorrow's program
- Lunch is terrible! after I paid for tickets prime example of british cuisine at its worst!
- Met Pullia from Milano at wine + cheese fete - Spoke italian with him - did better than I thought, at least we communicated!
