Yani, I am so sorry about Zach. :/ I can't imagine having to make that kind of decision for a pet, not knowing if they're in pain for sure or not and everything. Take care of yourself.
I don't know if I told you this or not but my Black cat Pookie (the one my journal was named after) had a similar condition. It killed me. I fed him with a dropper and took constant care of him right up until the end. Losing your little best friend is one of the hardest things you can go through and even more than 6 years later thinking about him makes me weep uncontrollably.
Pookie had a tumor in his jaw? Was it in his jaw, or under his tongue? Did he drool (with blood in it) all over the place? Zach's lower jaw is almost non-existent, at least in the front. All he has to eat with is his upper jaw and his tongue (which hangs out most of the time now. What did Pookie experience, and what might I expect?
I'm so sorry you went through this too. It's worse than any other experience past cats have gone through. They just don't deserve this.
I just read my inbox and found your response. I'm still misting up thinking about you and going through this experience---I'm so sorry! Let me know if there's anything I can do to make you feel better.
