I'm deeply envious of all the people who went to BEA this year... man, free books? Cool people? Alas, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be intertwined enough with the publishing industry to justify going anytime soon, but hopefully we can bum any unwanted books off an editor friend. Books need homes, after all, and I'm always willing to adopt more

GenCon's still not bad for talking to game companies... or doing the Wizards portfolio review, but if you've talked to most of them, then no big deal. Plus the fact that there isn't all that much money in games... *sigh*

Heheh... I've SEEN, but never tried those SDCC reviews! They looked WAY too insane for me.

I'll be in the Art Show at GenCon and sharing a booth at SDCC this year...

Yeah, I'm definitely trying to branch out from gaming, though I probably will take a run at WotC and WizKids, maaaybe Upper Deck. Mostly I want to go talk to a book cover art director who should be there, since I think their end of things looks a lot more stable and better paying...

Yeah, the reviews are absolutely insane with no real reason for it... they could be run much more efficiently and simply, but they're just not.
