Yes, yet again I've let too much time pass since posting here.
Sorry about that.
I blame Twitter. It's so much easier to just type a few characters each morning, and not worry about putting together a proper post.
I also blame Twinkies. Just because.
So what's been going on with me since, oh, April? Let's see:
My Stargate: Atlantis novel,
Hunt and Run, was released! Woo-hoo!
I submitted sample chapters for an interesting novel project, but didn't get it. It was nice that they contacted me and invited me to try out, though.
I wrote some adventures for a mobile game a friend's working on.
I wrote
a YA book about the Civil War. Shame they don't have the cover up--I've seen it already, and it's very cool.
I wrote another YA book, under a pseudonym.
I got approval to start writing my second Eureka novel! Excellent!
My Transatlantic Twin and I submitted pitches and sample chapters for several potential projects. All out with the agent now, so fingers crossed.
jendaby and I finalized our plans for our big Midwest trip! Which is at the middle and end of this month! Midwest friends, we're coming your way!
My YA novel
Bandslam: The Novel was nominated for a Scribe Award!
I wrote an essay and designed the cover for an upcoming book about writing media tie-ins. More on that once it's available.
Steve Savile, Bob Greenberger, and I tried Kickstarter to get funding for a collaborative online project we've been working on, called
redeus.com. We didn't hit our funding goal, unfortunately, but we're still planning to move forward in some way.
The Howlers finished the school year--Howler One will be starting second grade in fall and Howler Two will be going into kindergarten. They both did great this year, and Howler One was the top reader in her class (quite possibly in her grade). She can't stop reading. Remind you of anyone? :)
We went down to D.C. in May for my youngest sister's grad school graduation. We spent the weekend with her and her husband, my middle sister (who had just gotten engaged!), my dad and his lady friend, my aunt, and my sister's best friend. Great time.
I think that's the bulk of it. :) I'll repost if I forgot anything.
Hope all of you are doing well!
