I'm hoping their inner beak evolved to have very little fleshy stuff? And, huh, they're so tiny, it shouldn't take that many eaten bees for the toxins to reach effective dosages? Or would the bird be immune somehow?
Beaks already don't have lots of fleshy stuff inside and I'm sure that they have developed immunity to any toxins. They eat insects other than bees, so their food intake isn't solely a buildup of toxins, but there has to be some sort of developed tolerance to any bee venom that might exist. Or they might just have no allergic response to the stuff, like some humans do. ::shrug:: And there are birds that eat scorpions or snakes and stuff and either eat around the venomous part or they are just immune to the venom.
