The Happiest Place on Earth, Chapter 19

Dec 27, 2011 13:02

The following is a story that I have been tinkering with for a year and a half. I have gone back and forth on parts of it. It starts off on a rather heavy note, but lightens up to match the title. I can only “hope” it works for you all.

Pairing: Miranda / Andrea - ‘cause I just can’t seem to care about any others.

Very funny line:
“You were betting on my personal life?” Andy was astounded.
“We’ll… yeah” Doug shrugged.
Good friends are so hard to come by.

I'm glad Andy was able to convince Miranda she wasn't upset about work. Andy just knows what makes Miranda tick.

Excellent update. Thanks for the read.

It's fun to experiment w/ Miranda's baggage, playing it off Andy's compelte understanding and acceptance of Miranda. It aint like the girl hasn't seen Miranda through her worst. She absolutely knows what she's getting into. Unlike the husbands...
Thanks for making not of a fav line. Always like to know what hits and misses.
More on the way

Other than Andy's slow acceptance of Miranda's attraction, I think they all have each other's numbers. It's what makes a family work.

Ooo, this could have gone badly. Miranda could have copped an attitude, Andy might have been clueless. But Miranda Explained her fears and Andy quelled them. Thank goodness.

Finally, a supportive Doug and Lily. They did reap the benefits from Andy's tenure at Runway after all.

All's well that ends well.

Thank you.

It worked this time. But I do believe we will see an attitudinal Miranda again...

I can't seem to write Doug out of Andy's life. With Lily, I vascilate, because of movie canon rxn to Andy's abscense, etc... Doug seemed to be more stalwart and honorable. Not the type to turn his back on a friend.

Loved the betting, the 50$ was somewhat unrealistic, after their vacation, halloween and Andy's hide/healing proces. 5$ would have been more realistic, I would think.
Thanks for sharing, writing and making it a happy story. I

Realistic, yes. But I thought 50 was funny.
Always prefer to go w/ happy endings. It would be a difficult task for me to write a completely angsty story.
