You claim you believe in God because you've seen such nurturing and healing. You've seen miracles. But if you insist that God exists, then you must also fully accept that God is death, destruction, tragedy and catastrophe. If the bible says God created all things, then he also created evil. He is both good and bad; everything. So, why the hell even call it "God" why not just call that LIFE?

I do. God is life... created all even evil. It's a human choice as much as any other that drives true evil. The apathy and blackness. The sundering of compassion in the attempt to make a point.

I completely believe you when you say you extend compassion to those you see around you. I even believe you when you say you do this without the crutch of blind faith. This makes you rather exceptional and an asset to those around you. At least you apply to something.
