I was checking out CNN.com this morning and came across this article. Those of you who are interested, tell me what you think. Do you think people should be given second chances? Also, no personal character attacks of each other is allowed.http://www.cnn.

I dunno, given my own experiences with things of this nature, I think that any problems they do have are being blown way out of porportion That said, the conviction and allegations are not light ones you can just ignore. I think that given the father of the child does not live with the mother (read the related articles), I think the mother should keep full custody with mandated counselling and maybe even weekly visits from DFACS, while the father should have supervised visits until a psychiatric evaluation on him can be done to determine his actual risk to the child. Its honestly the best comprimise I could personally think of. But knowing DFACS, the mother will be lucky to keep supervised visitation with her kid. Its just sad all around really ( ... )

I think these folks are being denied their constitutional right to due process. The crime was not incest and to assume that incest will occur is a bit over the top. Now had they wanted to deny her access to her kid because her drug habit made her an unfit mother, that is something all together different.
