Rambling post below concerning Summer goals

The students were released from school last Wednesday, and my last official duty of the 06/07 school year was to attend the graduation ceremony last Saturday afternoon. I have completed all of my officials duties so now I can enjoy my summer. Because I'm trying to become less of a procastinator, I am going to try something new this summer. I'm ( Read more... )

So I'm starting a real job today :) and I was also noticing that blogging must have made it to your list of goals... :P let me know all about the Bible readings, I've wanted to do that myself, but I was more interested in how to interpret what I'm reading. I've always had trouble figuring out how to decipher what's written without taking it out of context...

Congratulations on your new "real" job!

As far as interpreting what I'm reading, I don't really try to interpret scripture so much as I try to understand it. Sometimes I will read a passage and it will only connect literally with me. However, there are times when I see the broader implications. The thing that has helped me the most with understanding scripture was enrolling in a formal Bible study group called Bible Study Fellowship.
