Do you have the address for a site that I sent you that has some mp3 demos on it? I think it has a picture of me in a shirt that says "70" on it. Much appriciated if you could send that my way please. Just put it in a journal reply, as my mail is in a bit of a mess right now.

I am alive, and very well. I'll post more updates and some music as well once I move into my new place on September 1st. Yes, I'm finally moving out! I can't wait to talk to you guys more, as I also finally have my own computer.

Oh, and check out this to hear 35 second clips of all the new Big Star songs. There's nothing bad here, but it doesn't sound like Alex Chilton really sweated over these songs, imo

Way ahead of your Trevor. :) I've heard the clips, and I must say that I'm breathing a bit of a sigh of relief. I was a bit worried when I heard some reviews of the album, but after hearing the clips I think it's gonna be good. There's no way that it's going to be as good as the first three albums, but it definitely sounds better on a whole than any of Chilton's solo records...with maybe the exception of "Sherbert". "Mine Exclusively" sounds like it has some of Alex's most inspired singing in years! I also like the sound of "Love Revolution" and the two Jody tracks sound very ace. He should release a solo album!

I'm still feeling a bit letdown by what I've heard so far. It's not that the songs are bad, but I don't think they're anywhere near the level of the first 3 albums. Maybe it's not a fair comparison though.....Chilton was a great singer in those days. I kind of agree with you about Jody. I like his voice better than Alex's on this new stuff. He has more charm in his voice. Lady Sweet sounds like it's gonna be a highlight though, I must say. I think Jon Auer sings it.
