Ii read the article in the NY Times today about Blair's response to the debate over the traditional Muslim headwear worn by females, specifically the niqab veil (covers the face completely, with an opening just for the eyes). The day here in ticketland has dragged on and on, yet it's one of the shorter days I have here. Perhaps it's because I have so much I am looking forward to. Last night I went to a preview performance of "Grey Gardens." One of the perks of my ticket jobs are comp tickets, and I am finally taking more opportunity of that. Ah, another day at the theatre is over. I am so very excited because I am off tomorrow and took Monday off to spend with Dan for Yom Kippur. Last night Dan and I went to see the revival of Eric Bogosian's "Suburbia" at the Second Stage Theatre. It was so wonderful to see it up on it's feet--I've only ever read the script. I had a great weekend. Well, Saturday was back to the normal routine of working at the ticket place and then babysitting at night, which is def going to help out my bank account. This past weekend Dan and I stayed with his cousin and her husband who live right outside of Philly. It was a wonderful time--we spent both Satuirday and Sunday in the city, which was odd since I was born nearby and my dad worked there in the city, but I have no recollection since I was no older than 3 1/2 when I lived there. Well, I survived. I got back from Massachusetts on Sunday evening--took a train from Boston to NY. I was tired, exhausted--but ecstatic to be home! The house and town of Gloucester really was gorgeous. And perhaps I will go back next year to help. But I will def be asking for more money.
