Things I will miss about Spain

I can't believe I only have a month left. It seems surreal to be here, and it seems even stranger the thought of going home, because I have a feeling once I get home I will start to imagine that my whole life here was just a dream ( Read more... )

So if you just start using Spanish, your suitemates will pick it up. I mean, have you heard about totes, ew gross lame, jay-kay, and so on?

Also, I get the feeling you'll come back and watch OC on DVD sometimes and it might be available in other langauges, so you could still watch in Spanish!

yeh, I am pretty sure I will be doing that. Porque hablar español es de puta madre! ¿vale?

I think I miss out on the snarkiness and jokes in Spanish though, not translated so well.

so
I think that says something about "Why speak Spanish it's..." whatever you translate "puta madre" to be, I think it's kinda like "the shit". In a good way. And I don't know what the question is.

The Babel Fish translation says "Because to speak Spanish she is of puta mother! it is worth?" So, let's pretend it says something like, "Because speaking Spanish is totes awesome, right?"

* Hearing that I am "guapa" from random men on the street /quote

You know, you just have to live in a city for that. Women get honked at daily on the little island in the middle of University Parkway. What else... Oh, one time I was walking down Charles across from campus, and some sketchy white men pulled up in a beat up Toyota and asked me if I was looking for work and told me to get in the car. Yeah =/ Hahaaaaaa
Miss you!

Big Tom will be here next semester, so maybe he'd be willing to make some of your Senoras recipes for you. (i don't know how to make a tilde over the n)

Will he be living on campus or with Steve and Graham?

I'm excited to attempt paella, tortilla española, and basically cooking everything with olive oil...especially chicken. I dunno, in our house we don't eat super spanish recipes, but I am definitely going to bring a recipe book home.

foood...i am hungry and dinner is not for another hour and a half, and i do not have food with me right now, lame.

Tom's living with Steve and Graham. Their in the apartments on Great Mills near the CVS. Tom's not taking classes next semester, he's just gonna find a job. But maybe in the future he'll finish his degree.
