If anyone out there knows my political views they know I don't think the president has any real authority.
OMG, how can you say that! Bush signed the 700 billion bail out! Guess what, the DECMOCRAT controlled House and Senate passed it first.
OMG Bush is responsible for the war! Guess what the Democrat controlled house and senate keep approving appropriations for funding it.
Omg bush signed this into law or that or the other thing.
Dear Lord have mercy people, it doesn't matter who you fricking elect. The democrats and the republicans are all politicians, and they are all going to make the same basic decisions. Get over it.
Go vote, make sure you are aware of the issues and what they mean(last year there was one that was worded oddly and if you voted 'no' you were supporting gambling.) Be careful, know what you want to vote for and what a yes or no means on them before you go to the polls.
As for the president... vote for whoever you think will represent us best to the rest of the world, because world opinion of us is about all he or she can really control.
I have been fence-sitting this year. I like Mccain, I think he would represent us the best, but I don't trust Palin to represent us well at all(is it too late for his to switch running mates?). I am neutral on Obama and slightly negative on Biden. I normally have this all sorted out LONG before this in the election and here we are, less then a week until the election and I still haven't decided. I've got most my other voting sorted out already.
SO here is what I would like to do, I want to hear your views on the person YOU would like me to vote for. Do NOT mention the other party's person, or the opposing party's stance. Just tell me what is good about your candidate. Even if it is something like "I saw him speak and he gives you this sense of 'I can handle anything' while staying humble and not the least arrogant" People have voted on someone for less.
