I was invited to the REC this afternoon. Unfortuantely, I did not bring and exercise gear today, so I had to pass. (Besides, I normally look like I am seconds from death when i am doing cardio. SO very NOT dignified.)
Instead I returned home early, changed into running stuff, and headed into the park for a bit of a run.
For the first 1/2 mile I carried 2 8lbs hex weights. By then my arms were about to fall off and my hands were cramping so I swung past the car and traded them for 2 2lbs weights. Then it was off onto a train for 1.5 miles.
After the 1.5miles, I took 3 minute break and then decided to do the 1/2 mile loop a couple times with the 2pounders. I ended up doing the loop and additional 4 times.
Total Milage for Jan 26: 4 MILES
Total Milage for 2006: 23 MILES
I really enjoy running out doors, espeically in the park. But the problem with that this time of year is the cold. I am fine when I get there and while running, but if I have to stop for more than a minute or two I get cold because all my stuff is damp. Then it is VERY difficult, or impossible, to warm my clothing back up, and thus I am cold the entire rest of the workout.
