My new favorite thing is to drive around town playing the "Jesus Christ Superstar" soundtrack really loudly in my care. I have two reasons for doing this.
1.) It is my favorite musical.
2.) People in other cars think I am badass and listening to heavy metal, or other types of hard rock.
Yeah. Showtunes that know how to rock are MY anti-drug.

i have the "Original Recording" with Murray Head as Judas and Ian Gillen (The lead singer of Deep Purple!) as Jesus. It's pretty good actually. Since everyone is basically classic rock singers, its really cool. I wish back in the day they had gotten like Roger Daltrey to play Judas and Robert Plant as Jesus. How cool would that have been? Really fucking cool.

I like the original recording a lot, but the revival with Glenn Carter and Jerome Pradon is really good. I think it was a Millenium revival or something. Carter is a little more classic broadway tenor and Pradon is a little more... French. The pontius pilate in that version is really good.
