It was exceptional! I loved everything, from Moriarty massive burglary with the Thieving Magpie music (I spend the whole day later humming that theme) the whole setup and of course the dramatic show down. *sniffle* But I knew already what would happen and that it was a fake.
True, the massive burglary was a jaw-dropping applause-worthy moment which he obviously realized, the show-off XD
Same here, I knew it was fake, but I loved how they twisted the canon to make it still heartbreaking for those who, unlike some show-only fans, knew the scope, mainly by making John watch and the whole shenanigans with what's fake in Sherlock's behaviour and how he did it.
It was absolutely heartbreaking, specially after how they'd build up their friendship. I totally loved the quote in the previous episode (Hounds of Baskerville) I don't have friends. I only have one. D'awwwwwww. And then they give you that final phonecall.
Uh, I'm not going to enter the speculations of how he did it, but I think at a first watch, it'll involve Molly (forensics), the biker (John being knocked down) and maybe a ball (magic with balls, and why was Sherlock playing with it anyway?).
Isn't season 2 of Game of Thrones starting today? I guess I need to find a link for that one. At Saturday I heard three different people talking about season 1 (the same time the dvd came out it started on Rtl II or something); seems a new fanbase will grow rather fastly. (This time I don't even mind... more chance that they keep on producing it... :))
