Well, that was stupid.

I should have continued reading that Jeff/Annie fic like I wanted to, but HBO Go looked like it might actually cooperate, so I decided to get part of it out of the way (and how sad is it that this season is underwhelming me so much that I no longer rush to watch it first thing Monday morning?). Totally should not have done that, because now I'm peeved and out of sorts.

First of all, I haven't finished the episode. I turned it off when Theon's face appeared, though it wasn't just because of that. I really should have stopped watching before that so I can actually get stuff done, but Tyrion made that a little difficult. It is kinda my own fault since I spoiled myself on Wikipedia, so I knew that Renly was going to die in the episode, but I did not expect that to be the very first thing. I was really enjoying his storyline and I hoped he would defeat Stannis, who I can't stand. Not even three lovely Tyrion scenes could cheer me up.

You know, I can see now why my nephew gave up on reading the series in book 2 and refuses to try it again. He said that the characters you hate keep winning while the characters you love just suffer even more. I've stopped reading plenty of books because of that. This doesn't bode well for the rest of the season.

Oh, look, the tornado siren is working. During the test time last month, all I heard for ten minutes was this shrilly, high pitched sound, not very effective if a tornado decides to pop by. Now I had to cover my ears. On a related note, it's a little sad that, even though I know this is only a test, every time I hear it, I rush to check the weather. Stupid tornadoes make me so paranoid.
