Grimm is on today. I actually forgot. I just saw the Facebook Grimm page announce that Grimm is today and I gasped because I completely did not remember that at all.

This is the power of The Avengers!!! They made me forget my beloved show!! The Avengers and a new episode of Grimm in one day is too much!

Mark Ruffalo is the best Hulk ever. You just know that he and Tony are going to be brilliant science BFFs.

I loved his performance. It was sensitive without being angst-ridden.

And Coulson! *weeps*

The whole theater went silent at that moment--and I hated Joss Whedon. Why did he have to kill sweet, wonderful, geeky Coulson?

Natasha also broke my heart a little.

I loved her character. Finally a female comic adaption that actually works. She was competent without being perfect and showed emotion without being reduced to a sniveling wreck. Leave it to Whedon to finally write a girl properly.

I knew that Mark Ruffalo wouldn't let me down. When he told them about his suicide attempt, my heart broken into a million pieces.

That's precisely why he killed him. Whedon always goes for maximum emotional impact when killing characters so the audience will really feel it. He's said so himself. Although, Coulson's death did give Steve and Tony that extra push, which worked very well for the story. Watching Whedon is like paying the troll a toll for crossing their bridge. If you want brilliant storytelling, you have sacrifice one of your favorite characters. As soon as I heard that he was directing this, I started wondering who he was going to kill. All magic comes with a price, as Mr. Gold would say. It's horrible.

I understand that it brings emotional impact... but it also feels a wee bit manipulative when he does it every time.

I loved it when she was shivering after the Hulk smashed up the ship, yet as soon as they called for agents on the comm, she pulled herself together and went back to work.

Agreed. And when she conned Loki into revealing his interest in the Hulk I was so happy--going from the "mewling quim" to a mother-freakin' (it doesn't sound nearly as cool when censored) con artist was perfect. Kudos to Scarlet for pulling it off so well.
