this week has found the spry all over the place. monday night was the flaming lips show with jackie and matt, and all i can say is wow. i've never seen the lips before, and i was blown away. the show was also cool because it was the only one on the tour for yoshimi which they headlined, and didn't open for beck. it ranks up there with some of

Hey, Brent, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. This week was a bit on the pricey side, and by the time i read your e-mail, it was saturday. John Vanderslice is great live, and I hope you had a good time. Maybe next time it'll work out, but the lips and costello totally drained the wallet.

yah of the six times I've seen the JV, saturday night at Echo rivals even his show at Bowery opening for Spoon. I understand though, as my wallet is also sufficiently drained.
