An energetic blonde child in the outback of Australia, a boisterous young man from America, a cold and broken girl up near Russia, a quiet and reserved Asian boy as he passed through Japan. When he looks at this girl, he thinks of rivers and farmland, melodies and folklore, dragons and tigers and rain. It's somehow a powerful feeling.
I don't know why but the description of the other countries just made me pause and...that was my favorite part.
I loved writing that part, too. I've always been really fond of the idea of someone meeting nation-tans without knowing, being assisted by them in their home country and just thinking of them as a person that stood out an odd amount for no particular reason. I also really love the idea of getting an impression of just sounds and images and sensations as the small jolt when you catch a nation's eye that makes them seem so different for a moment.
