Hmm...let's see. Not too much has been going on. Band camp has been going alright for New Bedford I suppose. I just have no patience when they're learning drill. Especially when we tell them to count and they don't do it. Saying something like "hey, if you count out loud, you'll learn it faster and then we'll stop yelling" might work for some, but ( Read more... )

Yesterday was my first day back at New Bedford. I missed those kids. I must say, this year is already ten times better than last year. We have twelve in the guad, which is a good number for the size of the corps...um, band. Back when I was in high school, we had 12-13 in the guard. Ha...that was a song from sophmore year, it went into our skit. Anywho, I got back from band camp (yes that's right, band camp) on Monday around 5:30. I'd have to say it was a pretty good week.
