I don't know what your Indian plans are, but if you are in the area around Hyderabad, you have to see the Birla Mandir. It's probably the most beautiful Hindu temple I've seen, probably because it's made entirely out of white marble.

i must say, being close to a big city (ie the capital of T-stan) certainly has a lot of perks, but it would be really nice to further removed from all the PC stuff with politics and buearacracy and all the stuff that goes on.

i'm really glad i came but i am READY for a vacation somewhere not inside this place and DEFINITELY ready to see guardian_dragon again - 8 months! EIGHT MONTHS!! fair goddess of all that exists, that seems like a long time. hopefully this vacation will be a little like putting some extra gas in the tank to get us through until the next one - possibly as much as 16 or 17 months from now. sheesh. i've changed alot as a person - in ways that i think are good, but i miss my dragon and i guess i worry that it's going to be really really hard to get used to living with eachother again after we come home. oh well. i'm just in a bad mood bc of the ameobas in my systme that are wreaking havoc in my intestinal tract. :) :P

Too bad about missing Varanasi - everything I've seen looks lovely, and it's definitely on my list in India. Have fun, though!
