awww, that made my heart break.
i like your comparisons between love and obsession, i think the second half was very good in displaying the obsession within love, if yah get my drift :)

Thank you so much; I've just been re-watching some of the episodes (re-runs on CW) and I just really think that what Damon felt for Katherine WAS obsession, NOT love (meanwhile, I HONESTLY think Stefan loved her, and very much). However, I think that he does LOVE Elena; before he went to any lengths to pacify Katherine, now he's sacrificing his own well being to keep Elena safe/happy... I just think there's a huge difference. :D
