So today I did my first clinical rotation in the ER. I really disliked it. Yes, I learned a lot and got to do a lot (started my first successful IV) but it's just not for me ( Read more... )

Thank you for your kind words! It is tough moving on but I'll remember to take it day by day. I've been strong about it up until this point, I just need to keep on keepin' on.

I agree with everyone on this... Take it a day at a time. You'll see that there is more out there and you'll find happiness in places you will last expect it.

I know. The crying came so suddenly though it just knocked me for a loop. I still feel a little meh today...perhaps I'll go for a walk. I have a bright future and I know I'll meet new people. For now I'll take it a step at a time.

ER isn't for everyone. Those who like it tend to LOVE it; those who don't like it tend to HATE it. I have one sister who hates it; she became an OB nurse. I have one sister who LOVES it. I have one sister who went the route of clinic nurse. You just have to get through it, finish your training, and pick what area you enjoy.

Yeah, I've been work at Nursing Home for four years and I really love it. It's a different pace from the hospital definitely.
