Rest in Peace

At 7:30 this morning, I took my dog Kodiak into the vets to be put down. He was 13 and a half years old. Pretty old for a siberian husky. It got so bad towards the end that he had no strength in his hind legs, and he couldn't get up to eat or go to the bathroom. oh man. I am so sorry to hear this, B. I know you loved that dog so much ... and I can definitely understand what it means to lose him. right after Pecos was laid to rest, I couldn't think about him without my eyes starting to well up.

it's so difficult to know that when they can't get themselves around any longer, that it's time to let them go... even though our selfish love wants to keep them.
i of all people now there aren't really any words of comfort to offer you... but i hope that you're faring as well as can be expected.
