Huh. I was just in the library the other day, and it turns out that there were some clippings about me and Rua. Weird, huh?
They're about the time I fell into my coma, about eight years ago. They're from the Tatsu no Kiba papers.

Ruka, didn't the creator of Duel Monsters get his inspiration from his trips to Egypt?

Oh so she likes to dress up a lot.

Even Rally? Jeez, why doesn't anybody even our parents, know our last name?

No, she's... the basis for Black Magician Girl. She's the original.

I know. Why don't our parents have faces?

Oh thats cool, she must be a major celebrity back home.

I don't know, are they even our parents?

Not exactly. Um. You know how that last article talks about the origins of Duel Monsters being three thousand years ago, in Egypt? That's where she's from; Egypt, three thousand years ago.

I don't even know. I know that genetics don't really make sense, but our mom's apparently blond and our dad's a brunet and we both somehow wound up with green hair and yellow eyes. Rua, we're not the same gender. We can't be identical twins. We should not look this much alike.

Oh wow cool, so she's even from a time further back than Yugi and some of his friends that we met here.

Its unreal, its like we were experimented on or something like in those science fiction movies.

[She nods] Quite a while before, yeah.

... so we're test tube kids and we've been abducted by aliens. This is fantastic. And for some reason I get psychic powers and can talk to duel monsters in my head.

... ... and they couldn't think to give us a last name?

[Laughs] Thats a bit too far out there Ruka.

I dunno, maybe they thought we were dumb enough not to question it or something. But its not like we wouldn't figure out about it sometime.

What? These are all your ideas!

... kinda sad that we didn't figure it out for, what, twelve years though?

[narrow eyes]I just was comparing, not actually thinking we were abducted by aliens.

I think we always knew, but we didn't want to question it or anything.

... actually, no. That might have been a different version of you. Augh.

Makes sense. Um, I don't want anyone else to worry about stuff like this until we figure it out, so... don't tell Yuusei that we don't have parents?

Its good thing your the only Ruka around here.

Of course I won't, though Yusei sometimes acts like the parents we never really got.

Heh, yeah. It is more convenient that way.

[She nods] More like an older brother, I think... have you met Lady Necrofear before?

No, you told me about her before but I haven't...

You really should! You'll like her, I promise. She looks like a robot.

A robot person sounds awesome. Can she transform into anything?
