Actually after being Tama'd a Digimon can come back a completely different Digimon then they were before, sometimes just the adult and perfect evolutions change and sometimes all the forms are different.

You know, those little balls of jelly with wings? They're usually fanbeemons' baby form.

Maybe it changed into something else though, sometimes I see the same digimon but in different flavors, if you know what I mean.

Well... sometimes different variations of a digimon can exist. Either due to an attribute change or umm... completely randomly for no reason. Just the way that the data gets reprocessed.

Or something like that. I'm not big on the tech aspects.

Like... say the digimon is originally a virus type, then it gets turned into a digitama and is reborn again. This time it's a vaccine or data type. It does happen occasionally and it's really nothing to worry about too much. Especially since a digimon's attribute can switch during evolution through the various stages as well.
