I've been wondering about food supplies and how we're low on a lot of common things we take for granted normally. Simple things like tea and coffee. Though I think coffee might be more plentiful? I know I saw large cans of it in places. But also anything fresh ( Read more... )

... Transmuting huh? So, how does that even work?

The concept is really simple, it's the execution that can be a little troublesome. Basically, with magic, I would be changing the vary foundation of something, altering it, and making it something new. Sort of like water to wine, lead to gold, energy to matter. It's honestly a lot easier to make magical objects from the air than it is to change one thing to another. But, it can be done, it's just unstable.

So... lets say I wanted some melons, and I've already got melon seeds. You think that might work?

I don't know, force growing always gives me weird results. Once I ended up with plant monsters.

I suppose it might be worth the risk.

I'm sure it is, it's not a huge risk anyway. Worse comes to worse the item will be lost, or, in the case of changing one thing to another I might make poison. But! I'm really good at making antidotes so I'm sure no one will die or get supper sick. I learned my lesson with that, he was never the same... even after Mother healed him.

I promise to not let any horrific accidents happen that would make my Mothers soul in Heaven cry.

Well, I don't particularly have need of anything, but I've heard people asking about things like tea, and fresh fruit and such.

Could you make seeds with that ability?

I can't do much about fresh fruit sadly, I could probably duplicate fruit someone had though. As for tea, I could probably make hot water taste like tea, I can't produce leaves though. But, if someone already has some, I could probably duplicate that. I'm hopefully assuming anyway.

I can't actually make life though, which is what a seed is. Well, life in that sense. I can make things that seem alive, like birds. But, they're really just a type of magical creature created through magic. I can duplicate them, but they copies won't grow.

Oh, I see~

Well, that's still quite the ability. How does one make hot water taste like tea?

I just studied a lot, nothing more.

Oh! It's not hard at all, I have a spell. I can make water taste like anything I've had before. Usually it comes out well.

Can you duplicate weapons?

With the right materials yes! There's little magic can't do, and if you don't know how, experimentation or looking for the right spell will give you the answer.

I'm running low on dynamites. What do you need to make copies of them?

guardianofman September 4 2009, 00:45:32 UTC
I think I could probably use dirt for that. Though, it would probably be easier to just make a shell and create magical bombs.

You are a magician?

guardianofman September 4 2009, 02:30:47 UTC
Yep! First prince Lute of Sforzando, head of the magi corp, or, at least that used to me. Still sort of applies. It seems a little strange to answer that sort of question with just "Lute" and "I'm a mage".

It would be accurate though, wouldn't it?

True, I guess I sort of just miss introducing myself formally. It's funny the sorts of things you end up missing, given time.
