OOC: In-depth character analysis

Dec 22, 2008 05:07

Fff Luna's RP chara survey thing seemed so fun, so I filled one out for Lugia XD;;

Name and meaning:
Lugia. According to Bulbapedia, there are numerous possibilities of where his name had come from. It may have come from Lutetium (a silver element), or from lugeo (meaning to lie dormant) for his habit of living under the sea.

Age and date of birth:
Age unknown. At least a few centuries.
Date of birth: 7-17

Physical attributes: (Elaborate on everything, from hair style to muscle tone to the their eyelid's tendency to flicker up and down during a boring teacher's lessons. Twitch.)
Lugia has baby blue eyes with light blue hair. He has twelve natural dark blue streaks in his hair, ten of which represents the spikes on his back in his Pokemon form, and two, which are at the lower part of his head, representing the two spikes on his tail. He doesn't bother to groom his hair on a daily basis, which is why his hair is messy. He's skin is pale, since he usually stays inside his room to read books and write in his diary. He usually dresses in a collared-shirt and slacks for casual wear, and adds a vest and a tie to that for when he is teaching. Surprisingly, he dresses rather formally. His clothes are usually in the hue of blue. His glasses have dark blue frame that he wears almost all the time, even though he can see perfectly well without them. His four fangs as a Pokemon are kept even as a human, although there are few who would notice this.

Distinguishing features: (Anything unusual?scars, tattoos, etc. Or an unusual color of hair. What makes your character an individual? Please do not say violet-colored eyes.)
His messy light-blue hair with dark blue streaks.

Frequently used verbal expressions: (Either phrases "unbelievably pretentious" or attitude.)
He calls students "younglings." He usually keeps his speech formally, except when he's drunk.

Frequently used facial expression or other physical gesture: (They motion with their hands while they talk, never look people in the eye while giving speeches, tap their pens while listening to professors.)
He usually smiles calmly. Tends to hum a small tune when he's really happy.

Education (and grade): (Please elaborate on education prior to, during, and after school, including their level of interest in their subject of choice (or as chosen by another) and their general academic behavior. Did they attend primary schools? Home tutoring? Somehow, they managed to read and pick up other basic skills, right?)
High school and college graduate. SBG was when he learned how to transform into a human. His favorite subjects were English and History. He was very neutral about Math and Science classes, although he wasn't really fond of the lab portion. Although he was decent in athletic activities, he tried to skip out on physical education class whenever he could.

Academic skills: (Classes they excel at, whether or not essays are the thing for them, neat handwriting, attentive listening? How they manage to pass their classes or career.)
He had very high grades in every subject, although it could have been higher if it weren't for the constant accidents with mechanical materials especially in the science department. His high test scores helped him get his high grades. His essays always were at least twice the amount of the required amount, and his handwriting is extremely neat. He was one of the more active students in class, where he would constantly ask questions and turn the lectures into a conversation with only him and the teacher. He attended the minimum amount of classes for physical education, since he considered the class to be meaningless.

Academic weaknesses: (And everything they manage to do to fail.)
Science labs. Him and lab materials never go together nicely, and he always ended up breaking the equipments into pieces.

Main goal (dream) at this point in time: (Their main goal or dream is likely to change over time. How does it reflect their character? What hidden aspects are there to it? Elaborate.)
At the moment, his goal is to completely ignore the existence of a certain rainbow legendary who seems to pop up everywhere he goes. He's trying to move on with his life in the sense of his romantic portion, but his conflicted feelings aren't helping him much.

Secondary goals: (Like before, but smaller things that are somewhere in the spectrum, but not at the top of the list.)
Trying to adapt to a human life filled with technology. He's doing a pretty nice job with this, seeing how he has yet to break his computer.

Love interest: (One hopes this will change over time. What draws them to this person? Is there a common characteristic in all those they adore? What types of relationships are they involved in?)
Even though Lugia is denying this, but he is still in love with Ho-oh. The main reason would probably because the rainbow legendary is so different from himself. They were in a very intimate relationship until Ho-oh went off with his flirtatious attitude and cheated on Lugia.

Family: (At least 100 words on each character should cover occupation, family history, how family members met (your character's parents), and a basic personality description.)
None.

Place of residence (city, house, etc.): (Where does your character live?)
He usually is at the bottom of the ocean and constantly traveling around, but he does go back to the Whirl Islands in the Johto region, where he considers as his birthplace.

Worst past experience: (Please remember that experiences are not limited to relationships--early/childhood experiences would be best, unless something that happened to your character as an adult has had a more significant impact.)
His very first visit to the land above sea when he was a child. He had no knowledge of his powers when he first surfaced, causing him to panic at the storm that he unknowingly unleashed. He got hit by a lightening while in attempt to get away from the clouded skies and had been rescued by a young girl's family while he lay unconscious at the beach. This young girl became his first friend on land, and she introduced various things that were on land that couldn't be found in water while he healed from the injury he received from the lightening. This turned to the worse, when greedy trainers attempted to catch him, even injuring the young girl. He became enraged and caused a disastrous storm, wiping out the entire city.

Best past experience: (Please remember that experiences are not limited to relationships--early/childhood experiences would be best.)
When he first heard of SBG when he was in his teens and learned how to transform into a human so he could suppress his powers better.

Hobbies: (All interests.)
Reading all kinds of books, visiting the library and book stores, spending time at a cafe eating cake and sipping on tea while he reads, listening to classical music while reading, talking, learning how to play an ocarina.

Profession (aspired to): (What does your character want to be when they grow up? Or, if they're already an adult, what do they wish they were doing?)
Sometimes Lugia wishes he was a librarian so he could be surrounded by books all day, or a musician.

Strengths: (Try and keep the number small? weaknesses are more important.)
He can hold his breath underwater for a very long time.

Weaknesses: (More important for role playing? please include several at least.)
He is deathly afraid of lightening/thunder storms. Also any kind of automobiles, even bicycles.
He can withstand cold, but he doesn't like blizzards.
Due to the climate he was in while growing up, he can't take climates that consist of very high temperatures.

Habits: (Both the good and the bad.)
He tends to ramble on forever about various topics, which probably ends up having the other to tune out.
When he's really happy, he tends to hum a small tune.
He always has a book at hand whenever he's outside.
When he's unsure or uneasy about something, he adjusts his glasses with his right hand.
Sometimes he falls asleep with his glasses on.
He falls asleep at his desk most of the time; it's rare to see him sleeping on his bed.

Any other information: (Basically an "other" category).
He's a righty.
He would prefer to write his journal entries in the diary he always kept, but he's trying to adapt to the human life, so he considers writing his entries using a computer to be a good challenge. He likes the idea of how other people can write comments to his entries. His more private thoughts are written in his diary.
He can't cook. His past incidents with cooking caused the entire kitchen to be burnt.
He likes sweets, especially cakes.
He makes tea at least three to five times every day.
He can eat any kind of food but he'd prefer not to eat any spicy foods. It upsets his stomach.
He doesn't like coffee.
He hates comic books. He doesn't consider them as books.
He takes romantic relationships very, VERY seriously. If he were to date someone, it would be someone he'd want to be with forever. His previous relationship was a disaster, which is the biggest reason why he's been single ever since he broke up.
He almost never cries. He only cried twice so far, once when he was a kid after destroying the city, and once when he realized the relationship wasn't as healthy as he believed to be.
He's a wild Pokemon. Was never caught, and he hopes he will never will be.

Possessions: (Details as well. What your character owns and what quality it is in.)
Two large shelves packed with various books. A diary hidden somewhere in those shelves. An ocarina. A small collection of records of classical music.

Wardrobe: (What your character wears and its condition. This should reflect their social status, financial situation, social involvement, etc.)
A ton of collared shirts, a few vests, various neckties, sweaters, coats for extremely cold days (rarely used though), scarf for winter, few pair of slacks, a few sets of pajamas.

What they would say about themselves:
He thinks of himself as a laid back person, even though he's pretty uptight about a lot of things (like rules). He thinks he's pretty optimistic, which is pretty much true with the exception of when it comes to Ho-oh.

What others would say about them:
Most likely a boring person who is too serious about so many things.

What is the one thing in the world your character would do anything to avoid?
Letting his emotions get the better of him. His childhood experience and his romantic experience both caused more than enough trouble for him, and he does not want to go through it again.

What is the one thing in the world your character would do anything in the world to have?
Eternal happiness. Even though he had moved on from his past mistake, there is still a little part of his mind that forces himself to remember it all. He wants to be happy enough so that the depressing memories would go away.

How did your character make their enemies? Their friends? (Although this doesn't have to be detailed, explaining circumstances and what unites and estranges your character with others is important.)
He is very trustworthy, and will trust everyone he meets until they betray his trust. He starts up conversations with the other person in hopes of getting to know the person, but sometimes it ends up with the other person getting annoyed of his endless blabbering. If/when the person betrays his trust they are permanently his enemy until something extraordinary happens.

What does your character fear? (Explain fears and the reasons behind them.)
He fears himself. He never knows when his powers go out of control, and even the thought of possible outcomes shakes him up.
He fears lightening. He can still feel the pain he experienced as a kid.
Not only he hates it, he also fears betrayal. He doesn't want to go through the emotional scars of getting betrayed by the person he trusted the most. He does talk a whole lot, but he wouldn't go too far into talking about his emotions.

What is irresistible to your character? (Explain why they can't resist the irresistible and the reasons behind their inability to resist.)
Cake, tea, and delicious food (mainly seafood). His favorites! He's not a glutton, but he does like to eat. His current favorite seafood is sushi made by Lash.
Books. He just loves reading. It would be really hard to get him to stop reading once he has one opened in his hand.
Also most likely Ho-oh. But after what he went through, he's not willing to go back into a relationship with the other with the risk of the same thing happening again, seeing how the other hasn't changed a bit (from his view). This issue makes it very, very confusing for the poor guy.

Who does your character admire most? (The person, their admirable qualities, and your character's reasons.)
He probably admires Goose for having such a happy life and knowing a lot of things (like alcohol). No, he's not envious. He's happy to see someone living the life he wishes to be in, and seeing that makes it believable that he could end up in an equally happy life someday too.

It was fun, even though it took like 3 hours woops %D;;
