I can't find my passport and we leave for Mexico in six days.

Oh no!!! Are they insistent on the passport? I've gotten across with a birth certificate as recently as last month but we didn't fly.

My mother's mantra is always "it's not lost, it's just misplaced." I've been known to repeat it ad nauseum in dire circumstances. And typically, it's true. Hope that's the case here.
