Floating My Boat

Jul 16, 2007 09:03

Well, actually, it's my kidneys that are floating. Guav's Mother -In- Law, Venus, sent me an email describing a Japanese health regimen: Upon wakening in the morning, before you even brush your toofies, drink 4 cups of water. That's right folks! ONE QUART of H2O, right off the bat. THEN, wait 45 minutes before brushing your teeth, and eating the ( Read more... )

"Pissed"! You funny chick! Are you really going to do this for 30 days? I think I could drink the water - it's one of the things I'm good at, but hmmmmm, waiting to brush?

You must be sure to let us know the results!

Why not just take your quilting to the bathroom, sit on the pot, quilt and pee at leisure? I mean really, you've already lost your ever loving mind, why not go all the way? Of course it would make it rather difficult to work in the garden, but perhaps you could make an escape now and again from the potty. It would give you time to grab some more H20 so you could sit, pee and quilt and remain totally out of your ever loving mind. ;)

Hahaha! I'm glad you find this amusing. ;)

My luck, if I did what you're suggesting, I'd be trading an empty bladder for a nice case of hemmoroids. Preparation H...take me away!

Oh my! That's a lot of water in one go. Not sure I could even do that lol. Uhm...scratch that, I don't think I should, as long as I have to do a paper route ^_~. I can't go potty that often! Something to keep in mind though

That's exactly what crossed my mind, "How do working people do this? With a catheter in place?". I'm serious: every half hour.

Maybe after a little while, your body will get used to it.

Hope it works, though! Maybe you should invest in a comfy toilet seat just in case it doesn't. :)

Well, I went back to the email, and it says that arthritics need to only do this three times in the first week, and then everyday in subsequent weeks. I think I'll skip a day, and resume on Wednesday. Then I'm off until SUnday. Two days into it, and alrady my pot belly is smaller! I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I started this mornint at 5:30, or 6A.M.. It's just now 11 A.M., and I must have peed EASILY a dozen times already. Honest.

Hoper you're taking extra potassium. Too much water can really upset the electrolyte(?) balance of your body.
