If you're anything like me, and I suspect you are, cause I'm sure I'm not that unusual, you can't view the plethora of gardening catalogs that come your way, without engaging in some hard core fantasizing. Am I correct in this assumption. Haha! I thought so! So many of us, be we gardeners, or crafters, or, (God forbid), both, find ourselves ( Read more... )

Can't say I do a lot of fantasizing about gardening lol. I mean, I'd like to have a nice garden, but it's not possible where we're at. The ground is too hard for me to work, heck, even Dustin can't do it. But yes, I do think about the "what ifs" of home, garden and crafting ^_~

Hahahaha! This was mistakenly posted to my personal journal. It was meant for my GARDENING community but I was too quick to click, and I clicked on GUAVMOM! I saved it, and will try to re-post later to GARDENING> My brain is too fried with designing critters for my quilt. I'm just working on the snail. I added an old fashioned bee skep to the opposite corner of this border, and the upper corners have a dragonfly, and a butterfly, respectively.

Yes, yes, Karin. I WILL try to post pictures. You betcha!

I pretty much kill any plant I touch, so rare is a single whisper of a thought involving gardening to cross my mind.

But that sounds lovely, and since I've been to your home several times I really was able to picture what you wrote in my mind (:

Me too. Black fingers are the order of the day ;)

This is rather random of me. But one day when I have a house somewhere with at least a little patch of yard I want to have a garden. I am sure it will be a disaster as I know nothing about plants or gardening or making anything flow or what blooms when or what goes together. But I think it will be fun :-)

Oh, Gidge, it is! It all begins with the desire to create beauty with plants. Once you start looking at gardening catalogs, you see what the soil and light requirements are, and can see what colors look well together. d Just add in patience and love! (and be sure to water adequately)

It helps if you start with easy to grow flowers and veggies. Once you taste some success, you'll be hooked!
