stuff i'd like to put in books someday
Every so often I get a couple of random thoughts or images that I want to write down for future use in books or poems. If I didn't, they'd be out of my mind within the hour. I usually write them down in LJ and make them private, if only because they don't amount to anything but quibbles. For once though, I thought I might share. Here's some stuff I

I was relaxing in the International Center lounge area, as many students are prone to do (I believe it is the possibility of being able to snag a free cup of coffee that is the true siren call of the place), just talking with a couple friends. At one point, Rie, a Japanese girl at Hosei, commented on something relating to how my skin was whiter than Zach's, another BSU student. This was shortly followed with her, ever so casually, pointing at herself and simply saying, "yello, right?" Or at least, something to that effect. Zach and I, looking at each other with slightly confused yet amused faces lost control and went into a fit of laughter. After assuring her (and she seemed rather confused when we told her this) that she, in fact, wasn't yellow.
Oh, yeah, and then I casually remarked that that was just racism.
Thought you might find that amusing/interesting/something. Either way... how's my favourite twinkie doing?
