It's part of the normal weather patterns in Atlantic Canada, to receive rain that was once part of a tropical storm system somewhere way out in the Atlantic. And it has been that way for some time. So why does the media insist on making it a headline news item every time it rains between August and November?

We had our hurricane this century.
