So, in case you wondered, I'm now in Germany. And there is a huge thunderstorm! (or at least lightning and obnoxiously loud thunder, a little lacking on the rain bit). I'm staying with my exchange partner and I just got here this afternoon. Right now I'm at her friends house, where Jason Mierhenry is staying. We're hanging out and watching ( Read more... )

That's so exciting! The only "exciting" place I've been in the past few days was my Cal orientation. Though, how many times does one have the opportunity to dance the "Time Warp" to a marching band?

hehe, sounds like fun. I get to go to orientation for UCD 3 days after I get back! WHHHHHEEEEEEEEE, yay for jetlag! That should be fun.

Yeah, it should! I had a lot of fun, and you'll have plenty of cool things to talk about during the awkward forced getting-to-know-you encounters you'll have all day. You will be asked 1) Your name 2) Your major 3) Where you're from 4) Which dorm you'll be staying in. Probably in that order. All. Day. Long.

They're having orientation here at Humboldt State as we're doing our chamber music program (it started Wednesday) and the food has gotten remarkably better. It's pretty funny. Lunch today was divine, they fixed the ice cream machine, the oatmeal wasn't lumpy... mmmm...
