WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!! *parties hard for Harry Potter reference in an academic text*
What kind of linguistics are you studying? Is it just intro with a lot of technical stuff or is a fun topic? I took a linguistics class next semester where we learned about all the languages spoken in America and bilinugal issues, etc...
Good luck studying for finals!

Yeah, it's just intro. to linguistics with A LOT of technical stuff, but still very interesting. I really wanted to take a class focused on IPA next quarter, but of course I can't get into it. I was considering taking a linguistics class in German next quarter, though. Except I want to have this weezy old man professor who hardly knows what he's doing so I'm taking Survey of German Culture instead.

They publish a new edition every year (I believe), so it's actually from 2007. The next best question, then, would be: When did they add this into the textbook? and for that I don't have an answer.
