I think most of our time is spent running from loneliness. We do what makes us feel we have worth, because in doing so, we feel others will see said worth and accept us better. But again, I have no concept of loneliness.
To me, loneliness is a state of mind and an emotion - not to say that it isn't well justified. However, I can't recall ever feeling lonely. I do know that often, even when surrounded by people I care deeply about, I feel utterly alone - and I know its a reality.
We were made for something more. While spiritually true, I also mean that its true for this present reality. This sense of aloneness pervades all that we are - I think all anyone ever wants is not someone to take it away, to fix it, or to heal it, but just someone to share in that aloneness.
