I thought I'd give a quick update on how things are going. Right now I'm at school and already I can tell this is going to be a great/interesting new year ( Read more... )

I think it's kinda cute that he asked you on a date.... why would it be so bad if it was a romantic date?

Because I don't think I can really picture him like that. As it is he always sat 2 rows in front of me and to the left until I decided to sit behind him earlier in the quarter in my intro to theater class. He was always so quiet until I decided to start talking to him. For some reason when someone is painfully quiet in a class that I have, I find myself talking to them and try to get them to open up. I'll start by asking them how they are or whatever. I mean as it was there was so much banter going back and forth in that class between me, David, and the teacher Ron, that other people were joining in on it giving the teacher crap as well, or joining in on the stuff David and I were talking about ( ... )

Not to mention he's younger then me, he lives with his parents and doesn't have a license or car (which doesn't matter a whole lot. It's just nice to be driven sometimes instead of the one always driving.)

If I remember right he's only been in a few relationships and has never been in love. When I said he's cute I meant it in the naive/innocent way.

I don't mind going out with him for fun, but the last thing I really want right now is another awkward relationship with someone who has issues communicating.

Well considering that I added the yelling part, yes it was a dig on "he-who-must-not-be-named" but even before him I was with someone who went more on emotion then logic. I had a friend before him even, who was a great guy, had a lot of issues communicating, reacted way to much without thinking. Yeah, that was interesting. Hell, I have a friend even now that I've known for 12 years who's a really nice/great guy. But he really, really has issues communicating to the point of instead of talking to me to work out an issue, he assumed the worse and played the "Tell-her-I'm-not-home" game when ever I tried to call him to tell him what actually happened versus the what someone told him who is a known "D hater".

The communication with Ben and I when we were actually together was decent/good enough. It only went awkward/bad after it was over ( ... )

Well, I hope you don't write him off, he might be better a communcator once you get out and he gets more comfortable with you.

I can already tell this quarter is gonna have like 70% to 80% of my attention. I just finally started the program I was way overdue to start, and already I'm loving it and want to do as much as I can to ensure a 4.0 GPA. All my teachers already know me because of the really good questions I have asked in all my classes. They almost expect me to ask questions when no one else in the class is willing to. It's pretty cool because I am just so stoked about what I'm gonna be learning. As it is we've already been given a project that we've been told we should have started it two weeks ago because it's going to be that time consuming to do if you don't get it done right away. Not to mention I have my duties as a SkillsUSA state officer that I'm going to need to do as well as prepare some stuff to try to win state so I can go to nationals ( ... )
