40: The Guide Feel Frustrated

Sep 16, 2008 16:47

It appears that I have been silent for quite some time. Then again...when one does not have anything to talk about, what should he say?

....I propose a conversation topic. There are many people from many worlds here and I am curious as to ask about what you have that could be considered a 'religion'. Discuss.

A set of beliefs commonly shared between people, often giving answers to questions not able to easily be answered by science, such as the creation of the world, what lies beyond death, why we exists and similar concepts.

I suppose it's a given that different worlds follow different beliefs, really, though I'll admit that religion isn't something often questioned in my world. We followed one Goddess, Althena.

Then I suppose your own world is similar?

In my world, we have the three Golden Goddesses who created the world. Din, the Goddess of Power, formed the land and earth. Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, filled the world with knowledge and law, and formed the rivers and oceans. Farore, the Goddess of Courage, created all life to uphold the laws of the world. They then created the Triforce, the embodiment of their divine power, and placed it in the Sacred Realm. It is said that if a mortal with a pure heart were to touch the Triforce, they would be granted the power of the Goddesses and the ability to grant any wish.

It is a very old legend, but it has been passed down for generations by the people of Hyrule. I myself am named after the Goddess Nayru.

May I ask what you find to be similar?

One of the most influential religions in my world is known as 'Christianity'. Although I am not familiar with it nor am I a member of that church, I know that they base much of their beliefs on a trinity of the Father, the one God, the Son, his child to man known as Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
