I've never lived in a proper city, but i've spent a lot of time in one...

Idk, the biggest thing i always get out of it, and therefore usually try to emphasize, is that things are never silent. There's always sound, no matter how quiet your immediate area is. You get an illusion of silence, but there's always cars and people and car alarms and sirens and just the BUZZ of the city.

The same way, it's never really dark. Even in the burbs, the sky at night sort of always glows. Just at the horizon. With street lights and office buildings that stay open late into the night, and clubs, there's so much like that things are never really dark.

And there's this sense of... i don't really want to say belonging, but sort of the opposite of isolation? if you know what i mean? There's always people around, you can never go anywhere without running into someone.

All of this is the complete opposite of where i live in bummblefuck, nowhere. lol. =P idk if any of that's helpful, but that's what i got

That's definitely helpful to me, bb. Especially the belonging bit. It's important.
